When I first did Hazmat training over 20 yrs ago. We had to have a gas monitor inside our moon suits. Just walking around didn't set the alarms off. But under stressful situations. It would alarm very easily. It showed us how much O2 we was using up. Our air tanks was good for 30 minutes. Under stress. You could burn through the O2 pretty fast. We also tested the full face respirator masks and the N95 dust masks. We all was pretty shocked on what we found out. You're basically rebreathing your own air to some extent. The full face, andN95 masks with the exhaust valve was the only things we would use. But in the medical field. The exhaust valve is not an option. In the video. I used the same gas monitor. We had to sent them out every 30 days to be recerted. Had to bump test them every day.

Watching the video brought back memories.

Sorry Rusty, that rant wasnt aimed at you. Im tired of attitude of people IRL and having to tell them to piss off from the property if they wont wear a mask. I had just told off a couple of people and timing was bad for me to even post anything.

I hear you bro. I saw someone who definitely, absolutely, wasn't me 'accidentally' give another shopper an elbow in the solar plexus for leaning right over, errrr, that person's shoulder in the grocery.

Everyone's on edge. Wearing a mask is now social etiquette. It's ingrained in our DNA to respond harshly when persons violate that etiquette.

No problem. I understand the need for masks at the hospital and nursing homes. Hardly anyone here is wearing masks. And if they are wearing something. It ain't doing chit.

What gets me. In Jan. They told us we didn't need the masks. In April, they said we need the masks. Most virus are most dangerous from Jan. to April. The Chinese have been wearing masks for decades because of the air pollution, and they still got the virus. There is a 2nd wave hitting China now. 30 locals around Beijing are shut down with travel bands. China said that they ONLY have about 130 new cases this past week. Why would they shut down 30 locals then? The numbers are a lot higher then what they say.

Your etiquette depends on where you live. Here, it hardly effected us. 76 people in the county got it. 4 died. All from a nursing home. Everything here is almost back to normal.

Riddle me this Bettyman. What happens when you go into a bank wearing a mask? Do they let you in the door? Do they call the police? Do you get cuffed and stuffed?
