Good morning everyone :hello:
80% chance of rain last night and we got nothing :shakes head:

To appease Susan and go bike riding with her, I plan to get a bike and convert it to an e-bike. Anyone have recommendations on a good mountain or hybrid style bike? The frame needs to be 68mm-72mm for a mid mount motor to be installed.

I plan to get a bafang 750w mid motor kit with either a 14ah or 17.5ah tube style battery.

How much do you want to pay for a MT bike?

Frame size is based on how tall you are. Stand over the bike. On a MT, there should be about 4" between the crossbar and your crotch. Road bike 2".

I have a Trek 990 MT bike. It's an older cro-moly frame. The ride is between the flexy Ti frame and the stiff aluminum frame. Carbon frame are a different animal. They can be anything from flexy to down right super stiff. The other thing is tire size. 26" or the new 29".

I’m always connected to my member.

It's the other members that are connected to you that you should worry about.

I'll have to use her bike as a template and measure myself. I'd go with an aluminum frame because the battery would be mounted within the triangle part inbetwen your knees.

No clue on tire size. Whatever would be most comfortable.

Not all of us have the time and energy to exercise every day duuuude. I just surpassed the 110 hr mark for biweekly tracking. Can't do much when you're tied to a desk for hours on end.
