Agree! The industrious and stupid is where a authority figure earns their PhD on the policy manual and labor laws because these employees know every loophole in both.

Even hear of Peter's Principle.

The Peter Principle is an observation that the tendency in most organizational hierarchies, such as that of a corporation, is for every employee to rise in the hierarchy through promotion until they reach a level of respective incompetence.

The more incompetent you are. The higher you will go. I've seen total azzholes get promoted that should never left their mother's womb.

All it takes is, being in the right spot, at the right time, and saying the right thing, to the right person. Plus if you have your head up someone's azz. You can ride their coattails up.

There’s also the phenomenon that good looking and esp tall good looking people are automatically assumed to be competent and tend to get promoted and earn more etc. even when all evidence clearly shows they don’t know their head from their azzhole.

Never had that problem since I’m average height and built like a Neanderthal down to the prominent brow ridge and all.
