Morning all, quiet here at the homestead. After a warm weekend, the temp is dipping back into the mid 50s, but at least it's sunny. Yesterday was a pretty miserable downpour - not great for running.

How are you folks doing?

We have more rain coming this weekend; so I’ll probably dash out early tomorrow & pick up a stack of OSB...and plan to get the forklift/hammer drill dropped off the following weekend

Bumped my 1/4” Rigid impact driver w/4 AH battery in it & watched it fall 13’ onto the concrete

As I watched it crash down, driver went one direction & battery the other

Seen a small piece fly over towards the driver as well

First thought was, I bet warranty won’t cover this

Climbed down & inspect battery...ok, picked up driver...ok...slid battery in & everything worked

The piece that came off was the stainless clip in rear that holds a bit.
