I thought I had most of you on group text but it seems like it got all the contacts messed up, somehow. Probably user error. Anyways, summer meetup at my house thread is live: http://www.the370z.com/mid-western-r...ml#post3923281

So I got kicked out of a Publix on Monday, and was told never to come back. Then I got a written apology letter from that same employee after contacting corporate.

Long story short:

Publix is limiting items, such as TP/paper towels/etc., to 1 per person, which is fine. I buy a pack of TP and leave the store and come back at a later time. On my second trip, I buy another pack of TP and a front desk employee recognized me and caused a scene after I checked out and was heading towards the exit. I told him the sign never said anything about daily visitation limits and my business on the first trip was concluded as was my second visit, and he was attempting to block me from exiting. I then told him I have purchased this and is now legally my property, at which point he demanded that I return the item lol. I declined and walked past him. You could tell the dude was getting irate, and said "Don't ever come back to my store!"

BTW, the 2nd pack was for my inlaws. I would have gladly obliged and returned the item had he approached me in a civil manner, but in spite of what seemed to be anger issues of him, I didn't.

I filed an online complaint for sh!ts and giggles and explained in further detail the situation and I got a call the next day from Publix corporate. I informed them over the phone that yes, I may have been at fault, but the way it was handled was inappropriate, etc. Luckily, they agreed with me and said that it was my second visit and there was no issue with the way I purchased the item. I requested that this employee write an apology to me and that I would like to pick it up at the store. I get a call from the store manager early today (Thursday), apologizing and informing me that the letter was ready. It was my staggered day off from work so I go to the store. When I get there, I tell the front desk I was there for the store manager and he comes up with that employee (he didn't look too happy) and while I retrieve my apology letter, I did ask the store manager if I was allowed back in and also asked if it was okay for me to buy a pack of TP.

Not sure what the letter said, as I threw it out on my way out of the store. Hopefully, that employee saw me.
