Please don’t compare this thing to normal flu.

A recovered person does NOT generate immunity to this. One can get reinfected.
It skips “normal” sequences of symptoms, directly attack the lungs, pneumonia like symptoms, which is not fun.
This thing leaves permanent damage, scar tissues in the lung. Small patch, a healthy lung can compensate the reduced effectiveness by working harder. Big patch may need lung transplant.

We really don’t know wtf this thing is yet, nor the real long term health implications. What one wants to do is one’s choice, just don’t under estimate it.
