It's true that the virus is small enough to pass through the mask. But the virus is attached to a droplet that's too to pass through.

Any mask that doesn't fit good will let stuff through. If you have ANY facial hair, scares, deformities. The mask will leak. With the hazmat training I had. We had to be fit tested for different masks. From the simple mask all the way up to the full SCBA face mask. During testing, if your mask leaked. You would know it with the inhalant that they used. Soon as you smelled it, you were coughing. No faking it.

Sounds like part of our NBC (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical) training, the inhalant was CS gas..lol
I wish I had kept my m25a1 and m17 gas masks. We drilled so much that from the time we got an alarm to the time I had the mask on and sealed was about 2-4 seconds.

M17's are going for about $60 on eBay. I didn't look for the filters. The new one is the M40, it has a canister that will fit on either side to accommodate left & right handed shooters...
