I live in Tornado Alley and like to keep a few weeks of worth food and water stashed away. Over the last few years, I've bumped that up to about a two months supply. I'm not buying in to all the gloom and doom (yet) but I'm no expert on epidemics so I'm starting to stock even more. Better safe than sorry.

I've been snowed in, had the power go out, had to boil water. It's no fun when chit runs low. I have about 2 months supply on hand.

Grocery stores in some countries are empty. People panic and start mass buying. This is one of the reasons I like to have a stock on hand.
