Hey, looks like you might be getting some of those Australian masks in NYC, thanks to China.
Well, "thanks" probably included a fair bit of money changing hands. :roflpuke2: https://www.axios.com/coronavirus-ai...34afa2c36.html Excerpt: A plane from Shanghai arrived at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York Sunday morning carrying an extraordinary load: 12 million gloves, 130,000 N95 masks, 1.7 million surgical masks, 50,000 gowns, 130,000 hand sanitizer units, and 36,000 thermometers. Why it matters: The flight is the start of what might end up being the largest government-led airlift of emergency medical supplies into the United States. That's according to Rear Adm. John Polowczyk, who runs the coronavirus supply chain task force at the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). He spoke to Axios on Saturday night. The airlift is the most dramatic part of the Trump administration's frantic attempts to catch up with a nationwide medical equipment crisis. What's next: Polowczyk told Axios that he's already booked 22 similar flights over the next two weeks. Yesterday, a Russian cargo plane landed at JFK with a similar load. |

Of course, they have been selling the masks for $5-$12 a pop to many countries. They want people to think they are world saviors by controlling the masks supply (Mask Diplomacy). If you have been following world politics, you will know this has been discussed for weeks now. You can find many dated articles, videos and pictures online.
In typical Chinese fashion, you have to throw half of them out due to bad quality. https://www.dw.com/en/coronavirus-ne...ina/a-52949216 This is a funny story. They claimed they donated the masks to Italy, the government had to come out and say they bought it. https://www.straitstimes.com/asia/ea...reign-minister They just crashed another military helicopter, no details. I wonder what happened... Quote:
