I’ll join LaLa land and accept that he was joking directly to the reporters; what exactly has he done or vocalized that has you assured that we are prepared to take care of our citizens that are most affected by this pandemic?

Some have mentioned friends and family that can’t pay mortgages or other bills because they can’t go into the office. Where’s the plan for those people? Force them back to work and risk their health and the health of those that come into contact with them?

Lots of low key comparisons to DT and BO and how the media would react if he did this or they said that. Let’s get down to brass tacks: the man running the country at this time is one of the least experienced people to do it and those that he has placed in leadership positions are equally as unqualified when compared to a majority of ALL predecessors.

Want to know why? Because our leadership hasn’t put in place a plan to protect them financially.

Why do big companies get to release that they aren’t paying any rent, but everyday blue collar workers have to go in and make sure they don’t get evicted? That they don’t mess up their credit missing a bill during a damn GLOBAL PANDEMIC?

Other countries have plans in place for monthly payments to cover lost wages THAT ACTUALLY MEET MONETARY NEEDS, stopped payments on mortgages and rent, etc.

That relieves the stress of having to work during this time and keeps a person and their families focus on the essentials, the most important one being health.

The everyday worker shouldn’t be risking their and their families lives to make ends meet right now.

It’s not that all will die. It’s that there will be people that will die that would not have died if they never got the virus. Having a pre-existing condition might not kill you on its own, but the chances of complication dramatically increase when exposed to this virus. Or TB or pneumonia, etc.

Limiting exposure is the first step in containing and controlling the spread of the virus. We already know not everybody dies from it. Does not mean we expose all to it just because.

Dont get me wrong,, Im not trying to downplay the lethality of covid. It definately is deadly. But so is the common FLU, and we never had to go on lockdown with the flu even though annual deaths in the US alone sometimes reach 60k.
Im just saying that people lives are being destroyed due to inflated/exagerated numbers.
