Snuck out and went to check out the USNS Mercy at the port of la/long beach. Its crazy that its now the biggest hospital in California.

Side note, there were very few bobtail trucks going to the port. Meaning, there are almost no imports, mostly trucks going there with containers on their trailers.

The containers are empty. Most of the refrigerated units are in China. Those are in high demand here. China is not shipping us hardly anything. We have warehouses closing down due to lack of inventory.

The contaners going out werent reefers. They very well couldve been empties going to other terminals, didnt notice if they had seals and locks in the back.

Commodity stocks are beginning to reflect this truth There are some sectors that will have severe material shortages in the very near future. Best case is we stay out in front of it with the virus and start to see some positive results from the regs in place. New York and New Orleans aren't doing so hot (or maybe I should say they are too hot ), but Washington state definitely seems to have done a decent job thus far.
