You need a dash cam.
If you don't have a dash cam, buy one.
I've had two people now lie about fault, to me, and to the police. Video doesn't lie. It's saved me thousands of dollars in deductibles and ********, and who knows how much in my rates staying low. Since people will ask, I have a A118-C. It's been great for years. Though I will be replacing it with a dual camera system to also record the rear. I think any is fine, but if you're somewhere hot, be sure to get a capacitor powered one. :driving: |
Run mine all the time.

Have one in all three of my cars. Same model. Although there hasn’t been an incident to really need them, they do provide comfort knowing if anything should happen, i have footages to support my position.

Have one in both cars. Best mod ever.

I'm kinda leaning on Rexing V3 dual
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07V5RHJWG/ Kinda like the BLACKVUE BV-DR900S but seems very expensive and curious how long these last before I'm going to want to upgrade anything to justify double the price, for example. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07CZ1C6B5 |
It's expensive, but look for a Thinkware Q800 or F800 Pro. I have the factory dash cam and have the Thinkware as an added protection

This is the one I just got to replace the Spy-Tec one I have now. Front & rear cameras and a port to add in GPS for speed.

I've captured a lot of bad drivers on mine, but so far I've been lucky enough to not need it. I have a Rexing V1 in my Z. The video quality is decent, but not great.
