Craftman tools

So back when Sears was around you could walk into the store with any damaged Craftman tool and you could get a free replacement. Sears closed and Craftman went to Lowes. I had 1/4" and 3/8" ratchets that had stopped working and I called Lowes. They replaced them for free to my surprise. The total amount came to $44.00. Not bad, so don't throw away any of your Craftman tools if you have them, just an FYI. :tiphat:

Thanks for posting. I always wondered how that would work after Lowe's picked them up

OSH was carrying Craftsman Tools as well & would swap them out. Stanley Tools actually owns the brand.

Yes sometimes if they carry the same tool the store will get credit, in my case I bought these over 30 years ago and they were old and like I said the tools have to be the same or very similar. The guy at Lowes said that the ratches I had were very old and he walked me to the CS desk and the girl didn't know so she basically just took the hardware guy's word. Otherwise, they have to call Craftsman and they need to approve it, something like my ratches were 32 clicks and the new ones are 72 clicks or better
