I’ve always used rainx “latitude” wipers. The design of these blades is to where it will curve to the contour shape of the windshield (i.e. flex/bend to the shape and curves of the windshield itself). They cost double than of the regular blades, but worth the $ IMO, though I have seen good deals on amazon.

Okay, I guess I will be returning the green stuff. Why would they manufacture fluids that can possibly cause damage? bast*rds....

I've used both the green and orange Rainx in my Power Wagon since I bought it in 2008. I bought my TrailHawk in 2013. Started using the Rainx fluids in it too. About 2015. The sensor in the TrailHawk went out and had it replaced under warranty. They told me about the problems they are seeing with the RainX and other green and orange fluids. About 6 months later. The sensor in my Power Wagon went out too. Since then, I only use blue.

If I remember right. They was Denso sensors which everyone uses. Maybe a different spec for Chrysler. I changed the one on the Power Wagon myself. It's just 2 electrodes sticking out to make contact with the fluid. They work off of conductivity of the fluid. I cleaned up the probes and it still didn't work. So I replaced it.

I'd recommend using this process to prep the window first:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-Ai4y1WoOo Then go with Aquapel. Lightyears better than the Rain-X which behaves like the monsanto of window treatments, requiring needless additional applications, and their stupid washer fluid. And if ya don't then they punish you with wiper noise. Try the Aquapel once, you'll never go back! I did use Rain x for 15 years and wish I could have all my time/frustration/effort wasted back. Also, if any of you use claybars on the windshield, ditch ALL the junk claybars!! You have TWO options: 1) Mequiars professional mild or aggressive 2) 3m correct it, beware, you want the stuff made in Japan. All the other claybars belong in the trash can and are a waste of time (yes, groits, cg, all of the yellow clays = junk = really just scams, and they should be cutting everyone refund checks for wasting your time requiring you to go over the same section 2-4x, whereas the 3m = one shot. |
