Mark Twain NF has some seriously epic roads.

I took 17 out of Buckhorn then took 32 to Park Hills. We will be going back to hit a few more of the back roads in that area. Great roads :driving: and cheap gas. I filled up with 93 no ethanol for $2.79 a gal, had to fill up back in the land of corruption for $3.99 for 93 octane 90/10 :shakes head:

Pretty much everything outlined in black is recommended.

Talimena National Scenic Byway is somewhat southwest of Mark Twain NF, it's Arkansas 88 and Oklahoma 1. That is HIGHLY recommended. Runs along the ridge of the highest continental land mass between the Appalachians and the Rockies. I've driven it 4 or 5 times, lovely technical driving road. I'd recommend starting the road at dawn-ish; once you get into mid-morning hours you may be held up on the road by swarms of motorcycle-riding retirees. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...df91d63601.jpg

Last day in Paris, off to Rouen shortly. Yesterday we did about 15 miles of walking, visited the Louvre, the ruins of the cathedral at Notre Dame, and the Trocadero (park overlooking the Eiffel Tower). Despite what you may have heard, the people are very nice even with my very limited French.

Had to run to the office in Savannah, just got back. Mandatory evacuations starts Tuesday Morning. Traffic tomorrow getting out of the Savannah area will be a nightmare. Ugg. I hate Hurricanes.
