:iagree:
Did this before I installed the Quaife unit in my base 11’...surprise to see how tight backlash space was...but was in specs :ugh2:
The Quaife was said to be plug & play....and turned out to be dead on

Yes, new seals and everything

You can press the new bearings on the unit before installing the ring gear to it, just have a (known trusted) machine shop do it for you....unless you want to purchase a press :ugh2:
Also dig up all torque specs of ring gear bolts, strap bolts & cover bolts.
If I’m not mistaken ~ The ring gear bolts are left hand threads, so your torque wrench must be able to torque both ways :wtf2:
Also have your loctite for needed bolts & silicone for rear cover

Bout to rise up....sleep pattern is all outta whack again :icon14:
May need to just reach in the freezer at night & grab a swig of that leftover “Goose-Juice”

Yep, planning on buying a press. I've wanted one for a while anyways.
There is a thread here with all the torque specs listed from the manual.
Torque wrench does indeed work either way.

You have a bi-torquial torque wrench :icon17:
My 3/8 & 1/2” drives will do the same as well,,,checked that before purchasing & always click an extension on & chuck up in a vise,,,just to ensure everything is clicking properly.
They sometimes sit a couple months with no usage :ugh2:
