Yes but I've used the tool on other Z's as well, including 2012+ models with the stock cooler. However, I have not used it on a Z that kept the factory cooler in conjunction with an aftermarket cooler.

I never have an issue getting the oil filter off. I run a thermostat sandwich plate and the large passport oil filter. Of course I’m the only one that has ever put an oil filter on that car and I’m very careful with how tight I make it. I also use the purolator filter which has a nice rough powder coat texture to grip.

I've actually decided I'm not at all interested in Z1 parts anymore. Plus I don't need the high capacity cover anyway - the diff I'm getting doesn't heat up like the clutch type diffs do. I'm planning to grab a Nismo finned diff cover from Joe at ZSpeed - he's waiting on a supply of them.
