Not sure if anyone else remembers going to order a new car back then... you sat down with the salesman and went over every tiny detail.. each little thing was separate... there were no bundled option packages..

An auto adjust mirror was $34
Floor mats were $28
The air conditioner was $279
A vinyl seat instead of the cloth one was an extra $120

Every item could be spelled out and you get your car in any dang color..

Eventually the car mfg's realized it was taking to long to produce each car because they could all be slightly different.

------

Now it's just... okay this comes in 4 colors, and you get your choice of these three option packages... and how many payments do you want ... 48, 60, 72, 84, 96?

There's more choices in the financing then in the car itself...

The last couple of years for the Viper. You could order it any way you wanted it. There was over 18,000 combinations. No two was alike. You picked out your own custom body colors.

It's one of the coolest parts of cars like that. You know you're getting something unique.

The hand shake and get the fvck out. Don't let the door hit you on the way out. That's what I got.

Finishing up my TT build. It has been over a year on the build (13 months). Took the car to MA Motorsports in Febuary this year. The closer it gets to being finished the harder it is to deal with.
