Photobucket alternative?

It’s no secret that Photobucket is hot garbage and horrible to use, but when I tried to use Flickr to post a photo here it didn’t link. Is there an alternative to Photobucket/direct upload photos?

It started as a Reddit image uploader. Even though now it's turned into a social platform you can still just post photos on it.

Or just attach them directly to your posts, that way the links never break.

:iagree: One thing to note is the Advanced Picture Editor is down right now while they fix some vulnerabilities. Cropping and resizing pictures still works without issue.

Easy to choose what size pic you want also without having to resize the photo.

You can rent server space for around $100/yr. At HostGator*, I get a web server, FTP server, and mail server. Domain name costs a few more $/yr. Upload your pics (and any other files) to the web server (you can get programs that will upload files when you drag&drop) and post your URLs.

*There are a lot of companies that will provide server space and other services (eg, registering domain names) for a reasonable fee. I've been using HostGator for at least 10 years and have been very pleased - very few problems and those were handled quickly. Plus great tech support.

I just tried postimage.org. It was easy and worked. Time will tell.
