I would. Or maybe just suspend it while you take the snapshot.

Im being extra super very careful with this little gem. It has years of data with no real backup except for a syncback on their data that took forever to get done.

Fuuuuuuuuuuuck that! better you than me. If that is the case and the DB can be brought down without issue, I'd probably just turn off the VM and do the snapshot. I do not like those situations Sam I am. I do not like them on a boat or in a castle with a moat!

Thats the thing, its a w2k3 server and if you remember, over time they take longer and longer to boot up. Its to the point where im saying prayers everytime it needs a reboot. They wanted to initially upgrade to 2019 :roflpuke2::roflpuke2::roflpuke2: but im like, um.. how about we try 2008 and work our way up?

make a 2019 Vm and see how it goes! :rofl2: I definitely agree with slowing the roll and moving up the food chain so to speak.

I havent been to a theater in probably 15 years so I have no idea what I am talking about lol

My wife and I go to the local theater and it’s like $14 for both of us, of course that’s before junk food. We usually get out for $30-35 total.
