I have lived now in NC for about 30 years. Sometimes it doesn’t snow for 3 or 4 years and then when it does it is often all gone within 36 hours

Once it snowed about 13” here (I think it was Jan of ‘96) and it shut down the schools for 3 weeks. I told people where I worked that a similar snowfall would have only been a 2 hr delay back in Michigan... LOL. They called me a f’ing Yankee... LOL

And once it got down to 17 degrees for a few hours...

However they do get about one or two ice storms in the springtime for 2 days or so...sometimes

I am not looking forward to the S-curve.

I think the freeway will be ok, I'm a little concerned about the secondary roads :driving:

They were not very fun during the downpour time but seem to be ok-ish. I dont know if I would trust any country roads that dont see the salt truck until it is being put away in april.
