morning :hello:

JLarson 02-04-2019 07:09 AM

Warm day today compared to last week, high of 51. Tomorrow, hitting 60. Pretty abrupt change after last week. Coffee brewing, all quiet on the shop floor.

High of ~50 and rain here today. Almost all the ice has melted off my driveway and roof. I am hoping some of the water finds a place to go before it all refreezes.

When they was building the power plant in 2002. The local cops used to call it the Fayette 400. :driving: At the end of day shift at 4pm. There would be 400 contractors turned loose to drive home on a narrow 2 lane road. The cops more then made up their budget. You could count on at least 2 wrecks everyday. :shakes head:

Cold and snowy here. Like normal. Futurama is on for some background noise and going to make some bread.

Results are in for today's much anticipated "Savage 200"... and though Team Spoiler (sponsored by Toyota of Gastonia) did not come in first today, they were successful in navigating the many Caution Flags and avoiding getting a much dreaded DNF today.

Be sure to tune in for the next race at 5:30pm pm tonight

And tomorrow morning...

And tomorrow night...

and...

and...

This spring. I'm putting in a couple of raised garden beds in the back yard. 4'x8', 2 of them to start. Grow some of my own veggies like I did back in the 80's. My dad always had a garden and canned his stuff. I'm going to start doing that too.

I looked at a house that had raised beds in the back yard and had a rain collection system that watered the gardens. It was a pretty slick set up. I'm considering doing something like that at my house.
