Waiting on some new bolts for my new rear shackles so that I can level the truck out.

Anyone ever use an overhead crane to pick their vehicle up so that you can work on it?

We lifted anything and everything with the crane. We even had races down the aisle while holding the hook and rolling in office chairs.

New VP of the shop had his $20K Snap On roll around delivered, we filled all the drawers with metal chips and parked it on the ceiling.

My brother made a game out of trying to hook one of the other lathe operators to the gantry when he wasn't paying attention. He got him just in time for the CEO to walk through.

The CEO just shook his head, laughed, and went about his business.

if you score the outside of a 20oz bottle with a razor blade it will blow up very well when connected to air hoses. We use to slide these under the machines catwalks where the operator was at and the reattach the air hose to the outlet about 40 feet away.

*Long wand air guns work best and drill a hole in the cap for a nice tight fit.

There is a lot of creative guys out there that know nothing but hi-jink. We had a 300 ton Demag crane on-site at an oil refinery. We treated the crane operator real good. He would do anything for us. So one night. It was kind of slow. We had the crane operator picking up trucks and cars and move them around. We was doing all the rigging. The one truck belonged to a oil refinery foreman.

We moved it from inside the fence to the outside of the fence. Should have seen his face come morning. He was looking for his truck inside the fence. Then he spotted it just outside of the fence. He never figured that one out until after we left the job.

Hi-spot bluing compound. The chit is like blue grease and won't wash off of your hands. It's like walnut stain.

Someone would leave their air nozzle hooked up to the air line. We would remove the air nozzle and fill it with this Hi-spot bluing. Then attach the nozzle back on the air hose. The poor victim would then blow off his work piece. The piece would get COVERED with this chit. The victim would take about an hour to clean it up.

We used to put the compound in the finger tips of work gloves. Put your gloves on and work. You would take the gloves off and your finger tips would be blue.
