You dont have to book a charter, if you charter a boat itll cost you thousands. You can just hop on any public party boats whether its a half day, three quarter, or even overnight/multi day..just call for a reservation. The coolest thing about the ocean is that you never know what youll get. A buddy of mine took me on his boat to fish San Diego/Mexico. For a good 4 hours we caught nothing but one short yellow tail. On our way back to the harbor, we spot a small kelp paddie with a couple seagulls sitting on it. Threw a couple sardines out to see what came up....nonstop Yellowtail til we got our limits. Even the tuna trip I posted started out to look like a dud trip til the captain landed on the right spot.

Lake Powell n Arizona? Never had any luck there. Were you on a boat?
My local go-to lake here closed down because of some stupid lawsuits from stupid peoples families that had drowned because of them being stupid. My inflatable pontoon boat has been sitting in my garage for the past 3 years.

We rented a 75ft house boat out of Bullfrog Utah. Plus we had 3 Bass boats and 2 jet skis. We ate steak for the first 3 days and fish for the rest of week. :yum:

Grew up blocks away from Lake St.Clair, fished many Summer's on my gramp's boat.
As an adult, I owned a boat for 15yrs, Lake St. Clair is world famous for its large / small mouth bass.
Also just loaded with walley, yellow perch, Muskie,& blue gill
Almost always a good day on the lake!
