I've always wanted to start up a food business too. But the only food service experience I have was being a server for a couple years and working at taco bell in high school..lol
I have a buddy who dropped a cool 2mil on a fancy fusion restaurant and it flopped:icon14:

Every so often, that's where my mind goes.

Start off doing what you have in mind while still working your normal 9-5 so you dont go homeless. Different type of stress, but much much more rewarding!

I am sitting on a culinary degree I never use. I discovered I hated standing in line for 12 hours a day making the same junk over and over again. lol. I love to experiment and mess around with different things. A food truck would fit that ensemble perfectly.

I'm not sure I can do aerospace auditing part time while working my FT job, but point is well taken ;)

I thought about a food truck, but man it looks so hot in that cramped work area

Have you watched Chef with Jon Favreu? (sp?)

My husband is in the same boat but he chose retail instead of trying to go back to school.

Not to be a joy kill but isn't opening up a restaurant and being successful like 20%?

Yeah it's pretty low. But leingod has food truck in mind. Not sure what the success rate is, but it does give you flexibility as far as location goes... and a TON less overhead!

Not surprising. Statistics show the majority of ‘retained’ people end up leaving within 6-12 months anyway.

bumper off, oil drained. Now where is that oil cooler?? It took less than 24 hours to get from Ga to california, but going on 3rd day to travel less than 100 miles. FedEx is weird..lol
