Same with people saying to get a tune. Night and day difference. You read stuff and know what to expect, but are still blown away when the initial hit kicks in.

I said the same thing to Megan. I'd have done the RJM before anything else if I'd really grasped how good it was.

Another stupid thing I wish I had got before EW showed me the light was a weighted shift knob. Coming from 2 TWM basic shifters, a weighted aluminium one makes all the difference. It seriously is the stupid little things that help the car soooo much.

Lein i have a brass shift-knob i could send you if you want something even heavier. Just be careful when its hot out.

It was custom made and they made like 40 instead of just 1 so i have a bunch lol. 2 Different styles, can post pictures tonight.

I have 4 knobs as is. I just hotswap them whenever one gets to hot when sitting for extender periods lol. Btw, how has your car been coming along from repairs?

******* almost no progress thanks to the insurance. Theyre fighting both me and the shop because they dont think it needs OEM parts when we want oem parts. Theyre giving Corner 3 a hell of a time, plus whenever i call i end up leaving a voicemail, but never get a call back.:mad::mad:

I need to do something about it so i can get it fixed then send it over to get it re-wrapped :/

How can insurance dictate what parts you want? They should just cut you a check and your source the parts you want or pocket the check. I've never heard of insurance stating not using OEM to cut costs

JARblue 06-26-2018 01:07 PM

:iagree: make them send you a check.

StevenSlice 06-26-2018 01:15 PM

They have sent me checks, but theyre giving me / the shop pricing for aftermarket parts not OEM. So **** like the bumper and stuff are a hundered and some dollars short of what it needs to be.

JARblue 06-26-2018 01:25 PM

That's $hitty. I just have to show my insurance an invoice for an aftermarket part and they'll cover it. For OEM parts, I've had them source them for me at lower prices but we confirmed they were OEM.

Most companies push for aftermarket OE quality parts if the car is more than a year old. Very rarely will they offer to pay for OEM parts right off the bat and the older the car is the less likely they'll pony up for 100% OEM parts. This is a very standard practice. Usually the body shop will work with them if you want OEM parts, at least that's been my experience. Sucks but it is what it is.
