Default Replaced tires on SUV and...

Well long story short, took the old lady SUV to Merchant's and replaced the two front tires getting ready for a road trip. Now the TPS light will not go off, took it back to the place and they said all the tires including the spare are on 35 the factory recommend PSI.

I know that the 350Z you had to run it for a few miles before you could get a reading and the light went off. However the Toyota once the PSI is correct the TPS light will go off. Don't know about the 370Z.

I think the fucktard that replaced the tires messed up the TPS. Has anyone has this happened with a non-Nissan vehicle?

In 370Z, EVERY TIME you switch rims you have to reset the TPMS sensor. It's a pain. What kind SUV does your spouse drive? (just curious) . Changing tire should have NO effect on TPMS (unless it has a leaking valve)

07 Toyota RAV 4, I suspect they messed up the sensor(s). The dealer wants $48.00 to check if one of the sensors is bad. I told Merchant's that if they messed the sensor(s) they are going to buy it.

I hate when people don't know how to do their job!

On vehicles with TPMS, when you switch out the tires you typically replace the valve stem core. So either he screwed up when he replaced the core and damaged the sensor or they somehow managed to damage the interior part of the sensor when installing the tire. It's also annoying when the vehicle doesn't tell you which sensor has the problem (or bad reading) even though most of the time it knows.
