My last ball was The Beast. I'm left handed. The guy who drilled it. Drilled for a right hand. Talk about a f@&cked up ball to throw. He ended up buying me a new ball.

Lein, why would you have a beginning bowler use a fingertip ball?
While bowling is not usually a difficult sport to become competent at, it's frustrating when the ball doesn't go where you want it to... (gutter ball). I was told that a finger-tip ball was more for accomplished bowlers and you would /could graduate to that after mastering the basics (approach, release, etc). Maybe I'm a little confused, it's been a while since I went bowling, but I had a 16lb Hammer and a 15 lb Beast I used, neither of which is a fingertip ball. Hell, I had a hard time breaking 160....
