Leingod 04-24-2018 11:43 PM

I'm going on hour 20.... Still no DNS issue.

I got workstations back online. 3 faulty Nortel switches. Wifi is still down though. Massive packet loss across master AP and packet loss from default gateway for whatever reason.

Are you running wifi on production Workstations?

madwi 04-25-2018 02:43 AM

3 switches bad at the same time? You must have kicked someone's dog while running over the other neighbor's cat. Keep that bad joo-joo over there!

Wifi is used for mobile devices and rf. As of right now, all my AP's won't give me internet. Seeing massive packet drops when pinging the master.

The 3 main switches used here are well over 10+ years old, unmanaged, and have never been turned off the time I have been a tech.

Closing in on the 24 hour mark...

madwi 04-25-2018 04:55 AM

DNS issue and maybe firewall. Definitely DNS though.

Idk if this is a sick joke at this point or if my 12th cup of coffee has finally made me go insane. Still no DNS issue that I am praying for. Combing the whole facility now for loops.
