Ugh, always go higher end on sockets! And if you're washing your car, for the love of god do not use cheap micro fiber! Those are suitable only for very soft toilet paper.

Aftermarket diff? Did you buy your car used? They shouldn't be different from the factory. I've done or provided a garage to do those fluids on 8 different Z's. We used a Torx T55 bit on every fill and drain plug without exception.

The MF towels are used for cleaning up spills and random crap. They never touch paint. Eagle Edgeless only for MF when detailing. Dry Me A River towel for when I am to lazy to get the leaf blower out.

I have a good set of sockets for important things.

Cheap, throwaway microfiber towels are perfect for exhaust, undercarriage, and engine bay detailing. I think he knows better than to touch the paint with them.

Plenty of time for it. We can do it first since that will most likely take the longest. Exhaust and cats won't take to long. Diffuser and blades will literally take minutes.

Leingod 04-12-2018 09:06 AM

I am driving straight through Thursday. So we can start Friday morning. Gives us all day Friday, Saturday, and Sunday if really needed.

madwi 04-12-2018 09:08 AM

cats COULD take a long time.

At worst, can we blowtorch them?

JARblue 04-12-2018 09:12 AM

I've heard of anywhere from 4 hours for both to 2 days. As long as you can do it without having to get to the point of torching it, then you'll be fine.

madwi 04-12-2018 09:12 AM

you bringing a torch? I dont have one.
