Is it worth it though? I don't believe I have ever changed those fluid before in any other vehicles.

Bro, my Z has 13k and is a 2010, I flushed my differential at 1,000 miles, and did an oil change.. you'd be shocked to see all the metal shavings in the differential at just 1000 miles (mind you, this is after the break-in period).. I'm glad I did it.. I flushed the transmission fluid at I believe it was at 10k miles.

Admittingly so, I am anal retentive when it comes to maintenance.

No need to touch coolant. What 30K mile service checklist has coolant flush?!?

MT and diff are almost as easy as the oil change, so you should just do them yourself. Instead of just a drain plug, there is a fill plug and a drain plug :eek:

The only thing that makes it slightly more of a pain is that you can't just pour in fluid from the top using gravity. I use a $5 hand pump I got on Amazon. Tempted to buy a cheap battery operated one but I'm sure it'll just break.

:iagree::iagree::iagree::iagree:

definitely worth the peace of mind

Got it. if it's that simple, Madwi owns a hand pump. I'll just bring the fluids and do it at his garage next month. I've never changed either before, so 3 car guys should be able to figure it out easier. haha, thanks Jar.

Thanks brother. It is life man ... not much I can do about it :tiphat:

Last week the Fit was having issues with TCS. Then it broke down on my way back from Houston yesterday evening. Both times I took it to the Honda dealer and they flat out lied to me about the problem. I had to go inspect the car myself and call out their bullshėt. I called the COO this morning to inform him on my recent experiences. I also emailed him a recording of the voicemail service left me stating my brake pads were at 2mm and a picture of me measuring the actual brake pads at 6 mm. We'll see how he responds.

wtf?

Yup. Be prepared. We are def doing this. I want you to teach me how to properly do this stuff. If you have recommendations on any/all fluids I should get. Send me the links.

We will find the time. I seriously want to do this stuff just to learn how to bleed stuff and properly add for future reference. I get nervous doing things myself that have never been attempted before.

google is your friend, my friend... google.. transmission fluid 370Z, you'll get tons of options.. im a mobil 1 fan, so thats what I went with, then google, differential fluid 370Z, you'll come across several options, 75w-90, again, I chose mobil 1..

eastwest2300 04-11-2018 12:53 PM

although, I've been very very happy with Amsoil oil in my infiniti, so next time I do a flush, im highly likely going to go with that for the Nissan.
