Call direct and ask for better rates. Dont call the reservation line but the hotel itself. Works best if you get the night auditor.

Good suggestions, and I think I stayed at that Swan Inn Motel once. At the time they offered a “Romance Package” which consisted of two warm Budweisers and a fair sized knothole into the Honeymoon Suite which was right next door..

That sounds about right for that place but is was a budget option.
