To get my kids together for a holiday. I would need to hit the lotto and tell them if they want their share. They all would have to meet in one place at the same time to get their money. :rofl2: Have one in Canonsburg Pa, one in Erie Co, one in Elizabeth Co, and one in Bloomfield NM.

Rise & Shine, Back to work after 10 weeks off.
Very thankful to be healing up & only taking a couple Tyl/Adv once in a while for a touch of soreness.....Glad I’m not hurting.
Thanks again everyone for thoughts & prayers/ as they have been much needed.
I’ll take it easy getting back in the saddle & bring things together slowly.
(Kinda like a twin turbo build...LoL) as there are plenty of slow patient requirements performing one of these.

Be careful and easy into things. Don't rush it.

Wake up to go to the bathroom and get something to drink. Look outside and there is 3" of snow on the ground. Where is Al Gore? I want to kick his asss. Better yet. Put a bullet in his forehead! Global warming my asss! :shakes head: Just looked at the avg temps since Thanksgiving. Been 10F below avg the whole time. :shakes head:

With this comment in mind, I will NEVER eat these again ever.

:hello:

I'm back up. The snow has changed to rain now. :icon14:

Short day today. 10 to 2 .

Come home, call the insurance to put the insurance back on the Z. Make appointments for state inspection and alignment. The Z is ready to roll! :driving:

Leingod 04-02-2018 07:46 AM

Reminds me my inspection for my Focus has been up since January hahaha

JLarson 04-02-2018 07:56 AM

Mm. Customer sends mass email to all suppliers asking them to download a new training. Suppliers oblige, apparently all at the same time. Customer's server not good enough. Currently enjoying my 1.9k/sec download of a mandatory training.

*sips covefefe* Going to be an interesting day I think.

First of the month. New CBT's (computer based training) to do. Management wants everyone to get them done ASP. So for the first 3 days of the month. Don't log on to do them, because it will lock up the computer. :icon14:

Yeah but you don't drive it. I drove the Z for a couple of years without my registration tag because I hadn't gotten an inspection. After about 2.5 years, I got pulled over 3 times in about 6 weeks and decided it was about time to get that inspection.

One of the cops was like "Wow, you're over a year expired?!?". I told him the car had been out of commission and I just got it running again and was planning to get the inspection right away. That was a boldfaced lie and the Z was actually over 2 years expired. He gave me a warning ;)

Z is currently expired as of Nov 2017. Hasn't stopped me :icon17:

I've been there - but never with the Z. That's the stuff I had to do back in college to survive. Working, going to school, and living on my own - I do not miss those days. Ramen noodles, hotdogs for meat, a budget so thin that the choice was usually food or fuel. Paying for the luxury of an inspection was not possible.

The cost for an inspection is $25. And the Z would have no trouble passing inspection.

It was pure laziness. And the fact that I knew I wouldn't get in trouble for it. Worst case if I actually got a ticket, I would go get the inspection and mail in my appearance with proof of inspection and a $10 dismissal fee. Turns out three warnings were enough motivation.

Currently, the TPMS light is on on the Z, so I need to turn that off before I can pass. Which is dumb as hell if you ask me. TPMS sensors are pointless. I can tell the tire is low long before the damn light comes on :shakes head:

Leingod 04-02-2018 08:49 AM

I failed mine last year doe to the windshield wipers leaving streaks on the windshield apparently... Lady wanted $40 for replacements.

I walked out the door, over to the local parts shop. Bought 2 bosch wipers for $22, walked back in and made her "install" them while I watched.

In PA they hit you for both mechanical and emissions inspections, usually about $80.

Ok. Thinking about the plan of attack for everything.

I arrive Friday morning. Rest for a few hours. We get cranking on stuff whenever everyone is available Friday evening.

Friday:
Remove bumper, mess around will cooler and intake.
PB blast the hell out of bolts and remove as much exhaust as possible
Madwi/Susan can work on diffuser, side blades, fairlady badge, and bt-r button

Saturday: We exorcise the demon bolts. Put HFC's and Exhaust on. Finish intake and oil cooler. While we do under car stuff, Susan can contort herself with Madwi supervising the RJM clutch assembly.

Sunday: Any final touch ups like loading a quick tune, vinyl wrap pillars, etc. Can go for a cruise and get some photos around the lake.

Monday: I sleep like the dead

Is your Z automatic or manual? and do you have the oem shift knob on it? (if its manual)

eastwest2300 04-02-2018 12:37 PM

And you're right about that, it'll be all hands on deck at this point. Your driver's seat will have to come out once the car is on jackstands.

Can take the seat out before jack stands. Shouldn't be to difficult. I get weary when things are on stands and access to the interior is needed.

Madwi has the same exact oil cooler as well. So we can do a simple stare and compare if desperate. haha.

blades and diffuser will take all of an hour. GT-R button I'll just throw to my girlfriend and she can use her phone to figure out how to pry off the backplate. lol.

With the 2 of us under the car, I don't foresee to many issues with the exhaust going into place. Only main concern is making sure we don't over tighten incase we need to realign the tips to be even.

HFC's I have no clue how bad they'll be. And intakes I am assuming can be slightly tricky.

Leingod 04-02-2018 12:45 PM

I already bought 2 cases of red bulls. You've yet to see a strung out IT guy going ham on stuff with the excitement of a 2 year old getting his first tickle me elmo.
