I don't see anything that we are doing to be overly complicated. The RJM clutch will take the longest. We can even just snap the demon bolts off since Madwi has spares on hand. Intakes are easy. Exhaust is relatively easy. Side blades are just a matter of how OCD Madwi feels. Same with the diffuser. This is more about having a fun weekend trip and finally meeting some damn forum members.

Now, I'm worry. Make that a 8ft section of pipe. And a 3/4 drive breaker bar.

Remember to remove the O2 sensors first thing before doing ANY work on the exhaust. ;)

Me and you: hfc's first, exhaust, intakes. In that order.

Madwi: Diffuser, side blades, randoms tuff

girlfriend: Madwi helps her with the clutch pedal and let her do vinyl wrappings for the b-pillars.

I'll confirm with him if anything else is needed and order stuff. I'd rather order the stuff and be safe instead of being screwed the morning of.

I am thinking of getting the car on stands Friday. You guys can take my Fit to the hotel or where ever you are staying. I can work on the Z during the night a bit. I should be able to knock out the side blades and diffuser while you all are sleeping. This should open up Saturday to focusing on the intakes/exhaust/rjm pedal. When are you guys departing for home?

At some point Sunday. Depends on whenever we are comfortable all work is done and stable for 600 miles back home. If needed though, we could drive back Monday.

I could ask, but maybe we could leave Thursday evening and arrive late at night Friday. We should conference call this with EW to just settle on something. lol

Leingod 03-19-2018 06:41 PM

Ok. I spoke it over with the GF. We will leave after work on Thursday. If I make the 10 hour drive straight, great. If not, i'll call it a night and get to your place by noon on Friday. That would give us most of the day Friday and all of Saturday to wrench. Can get breakfast Sunday and we will head back home.

600 miles = 10 hours? You drive like a ******* grandpa? :icon17: 80mph when you hit MI.

madwi 03-19-2018 06:44 PM

Says about a 9 hour drive. should be able to cut that down a bit when you hit MI and can do 80. Stupid ohio and their slow asses.

madwi 03-19-2018 06:45 PM

Looks like if you bring your passports, cut across Canada you can cut some travel time off!

Girlfriend doesn't have a passport. I wish we could cut through Canada. From my house to tour house has Google at 10 and a half hours. I just stick cruise control on at 70 and call it a day. I'm in no rush to save an hour.

Idk about doing 80 in Michigan. 1 pothole and it's game over.

Not really. I'm waiting on my banjo fitting to show up tomorrow. I'm tired of working on the Z. I want to drive it. :driving: Haven't driven it since last July. :icon14:

Have extra extensions in case you snap one.

I do :)

madwi 03-19-2018 07:08 PM

Worse case scenario is there is a parts store .6 miles from the house.

Leingod 03-19-2018 07:09 PM

I'm look at hotels

madwi 03-19-2018 07:16 PM

Call direct and ask for better rates. Dont call the reservation line but the hotel itself. Works best if you get the night auditor.
Holiday Inn Express & Suites Grand Rapids-North
Hampton Inn Grand Rapids-North
This one is closer to the house but is "budget" lol:
Swan Inn Motel & Restaurant

nice place owned by DeVos:
Amway Grand Plaza Hotel

Good suggestions, and I think I stayed at that Swan Inn Motel once. At the time they offered a “Romance Package” which consisted of two warm Budweisers and a fair sized knothole into the Honeymoon Suite which was right next door.. :shakes head:

The expressways are not bad. Once you hit the side streets, all bets are off though. :rofl2:

It wont be an issue. All the highways for the most part are fine.
