Default When will the manual transmission be replaced with paddles?

Hey guys, I am currently on my 4th Z since they brought them back in 03.

The last two I haven'd modified at all and the one that I have currently is halfway through its lease.

All of them have been manual transmission which I obviously love.

The lease will be done in November of 2018 and I'm hoping to get one more in the color that I really want which it used to be called Brickyard, TT it and keep it for the rest of my life.

Does anyone know if they have announced when they will get rid of the regular manual transmission and replace it with paddles?

Tried searching online but didn't really find anything official.

There aren't going to be any substantive changes to the drive train of the 370Z.

Why don't you just buy a Z with paddle shifters?

I know the paddle shifting will be quicker to shift and i'm sure it will improve performance somehow but I really like the feel of a manual gearbox shifter. It's what I learned how to drive on when I was a kid and I truly join the experience.

Besides knowing that I would get to own one of the last ones made its kind of cool

Until they stop making it, there won't be any major changes like that to the Z...

If anything I'd be hoping theres even a next Z, let alone with a manual.

The next tranny will be a CVT. And you won't be doing this.

GM's 10sp. A/T (like in ZL1 Camaro) is advertised to shift quicker than DCT tranny's.
