Now who left me a blank rep? On the off chance I do rep back, I at least like to know who needs them.

Yea. They're google's mesh network routers. I've got all 3 spanning from my garage to the front of my house. All without drops in connection, switches between signals, or degradation of speeds when changing to a different AP.

When all else fails. Pull a Kenchan and troll the general section....

What kind of distance between?

Supposedly they're good for 1500 sq ft per router, but I have them way closer than that. The main one is closest to my front door. Secondary mesh is 3 rooms down to the back door of my house. And then the 3rd mesh is past my small backyard and in my garage.

The front will broadcast outside the front of my house and across the street with 1 signal bar dropped. I haven't gone further.

The mesh in my garage covers my whole back alley and driveway without any signal degradation.

I plan to do more research tonight to see if I have any dead spots or the absolute limits of the signals. i also need to tweak the channels and fps.

For general reference though. I had a 5 year old Cisco router in the second room from the front of my house. Maybe a 20 difference from where the google one is currently placed.

The cisco wouldn't connect at all upstairs and I would get 1 bar of signal from my bathroom in the rear of the house. Signal was dead by the backyard and very touch and go from out front on ym porch.

This should give a way better understanding of distance.
