The front left side gap between the hood and headlight is wider than on the right. Noticeably wider. All I did was remove the bumper. Any idea why it would form a large gap between the hood the light?

The other issue is the bottom part of the right headlight doesn't align properly with the bumper. The bumper itself was a nightmare to put back on. Holes weren't lining up, the wheel fenders fought with me every step, and my tiny mudflaps won't hold the third screw due to the lip.

Best i could do for photos. Hopefully it's noticeable in them for the gaps.

So i decided to start running the nitrous lines under the hood yesterday. I removed all the plastic trim by the battery compartment and when I looked in the cabin air filter area, acorns and mouse poison! :eekdance: :gtfo2: no signs of damage just used as a stash spot by the bastards.

madwi 05-08-2017 08:14 PM

Looks like I am going to try and get alignment done on Thursday. Weekend looks like it should be nice and I want to drive the darn Z.

madwi 05-08-2017 08:17 PM

Looking at security cam and it looks like there is a NX box laying on the freezer! :excited:

madwi 05-08-2017 08:19 PM

EW said he is a master wiring guru so maybe I will rip the interior out of the Z and let him get to work. So much stuff to do and so little time. Maybe I should move some where warm all year and these projects wouldnt back up during the winter.

Leingod 05-08-2017 08:19 PM

Madwi, take some pics of the gap length between your headlights and hood for me when you go work on it some more. i want to know how much I should be dealing with. lol

madwi 05-08-2017 08:19 PM

Thinking I should put the factory wheels back on when it goes in. Do not need them marking up my good wheels.

madwi 05-08-2017 08:27 PM

I think once your bumper fits the right side under the light it will go back to normal, I hope. Not sure why the gap between the hood and fenders is off though.

Think a body shop would be able to do something? I'll try my luck Wednesday, but if not....

If I can do it, you can do it. Might have to loosen up the bolts of the hood slightly and move it around until it lines back up. Still doesnt answer why it happened in the first place though. I would fix the front bumper and then see where the hood is at. dont start trying to tackle it all at once. easy way to get it all out of whack lol.

My only guess is that I pulled something to hard when pulling the fender lining to reach the bolt holding the fender to the bumper. Hopefully something happens when I take the bumper off because none of the holes aligned well when putting the undershroud back on.

Leingod 05-08-2017 08:47 PM

I'm not even seeing anyone else with this issue on the forums so I am really confused.

This is the first clue that it is not lined up correctly lol.

Just annoys me to no end that a simple project has now turned into 2 weeks of headaches. Nothing about this car has been easy to work on. I know I am dumb as hell when trying this stuff, but come on. I managed to make an issue that nobody else on here has seen in almost 10+ years....

:icon17: It happens, now you get to learn how to fix it. That information, if you retain it, is valuable.

Time to do some insurance shopping as well. Paying $220 currently for the Focus and Z....

May switch to Geico. $150 with better coverage on both cars. Screw state farm.

madwi 05-08-2017 09:10 PM

Insurance shopping sucks.

madwi 05-08-2017 09:15 PM

Damn, my contractor must not want to do my work tonight. he is taking a long time to unload the van.

madwi 05-08-2017 09:16 PM

Lein: we will have to start a crime spree one of these days to make some insane $ and continental coins. I hit level 50 before I screwed up on a Election day 2 heist.

madwi 05-08-2017 09:17 PM

I fell off the roof of the warehouse and downed myself. AI couldnt get to me fast enough :icon17:

Leingod 05-08-2017 09:21 PM

What has changed? I haven't honestly been able to check at all in quite a while.

I dont even know all the changes lol. Crimespree is basically you spend 6 coins to start and then you can choose between three missions. and you keep going until you screw up a mission. You make huge amounts of exp, coins and $ if you get to the later stages.
