3k more miles and I'll be bringing it in for all the fluid changes. Clutch, brakes, tranny, etc. I wonder how much I'll get bent over for...

Do your fluids yourself guys..I did all mine when I purchased the car. Easiest car I have EVER worked on. I just did my wifes Mercedes Transmission service NIGHTMARE procedure...for example: had to drain the torque converter by first turning the engine by hand to get to drain plug, had to then drop the pan, new gasket new aluminum stretch bolts, pump fluid through the drain of transmission, run engine, use a digital laser thermometer to measure the trans fluids heat..(no dipstick) once heat attained, you need to monitor fluid drain to confirm it is not a steady flow but a drizzle coming out ....PITA!

i absolutely love working on the Z.. and I really liked working on the honda 2000 when I had that.

eastwest2300 06-29-2017 08:22 AM

The infiniti qx70 is nice to work on too...

Leingod 06-29-2017 08:24 AM

I don't have the proper tools to do it and have never bled breaks, tranny, etc before. Makes me a bit nervous. Especially with all the previous issues I've had working on the car.

Wish one of you guys lived closer to me. Show me exactly what to do so I could learn with the ease of mind knowing I won't make a costly mistake.
