Former best buy alum checking here too. Worked the "Tech Bench" which then became geek squad through high school and a little in college. Man I feel old now, it has been over 10years ago that I left. I remember it being pretty fun working there, discounts back in the day were awesome and it paid damn well for a high school job. Can't imagine what it's like to work there now with everyone buying online.

I remember our GM was notorious for only hiring hot girls. He eventually got fired but damn was it nice until then.

I heard the discount structure has changed a bunch and isn't that great anymore. I believe it was like 5% above cost back in my day. Car audio, A/V and networking stuff was a steal. Home theater I bet is the only thing keeping BBY alive. TVs are usually the only thing I go to the big box stores for now.

I see BB is now allowing customers to demo products for a few days before buying it. Perfect time to try it and then buy it on Amazon.

you know, i get the big deal with amazon.. amazon's prices are usually pretty high when you compare it to eBay.. BUT, the 2 day shipping, you cant beat that.

Thats 2 day shipping with Amazon prime, which I dont have.

If you dont have amazon prime and you buy something on amazon, you're waiting easily 7 to 10 days for your stuff.. which sucks.

Its kinda like amazon rubbing it in, indiscreetly saying you should have prime sucka
