SO my firs smoking was a complete failure. But not to do with myself. The freaking smoker doesn't smoke unless you basically turn it into an oven and crank it to 350 degrees. The second the temp drops to 250, smoke dissipates.

The second and larger issue are the temp swings. It's an analog rotating dial with low, med, and high settings. After screwing around with it for 3 hours, I discovered the heating element is basically just an on/off. It'll go up to 275 degrees and then shut off. Won't turn back on until it's at 200 degrees. A 75 degree variance is ridiculous.

Already contacted CHar Broil customer service to ask about the issues or return this junk. Going to just Mastercraft next most likely.
