Hi Everyone -

I'm one of the guys from "way back" a few years ago that participated heavily on the Board and made some great friends, both in person and electronically.

Thought I'd give a brief update with the hope of not looking like a troll.

I sold my 2011 370Z back in early-'15. Just got a bit tired with it. I knew I would always go back to a sports car and had hoped a new Z would have appeared by now.

I finally got impatient and jumped on something that either happened today, or would be gone. I was able to purchase a 2018 Audi TT RS. I pick it up on Saturday.

Mr. Jar and the ever lovely Ms. Pint - I will be back up in Austin soon now that I have a decent car again. We need to hit Bacon and the Hill Country!

Well I TRIED putting on the Bluebat overlays for the headlights today. 45 mins into the first headlight my patience ran out and they are in the garbage. I do not blame the overlays as they looked good and the material was top notch. I blame the installer..

Not in a great mood over this. Yes I watched the videos and had everything outside ready to use. I guess I have to find a plan B hehe

What was tripping you up during the install?

The bends. I heated up (not too much) the vinyl and massaged it into the spots and took out the air bubbles fine. The flat parts are easy. What made me stop is after heating and spraying repeat ALOT the vinyl was not wanting to stick much anymore on spots that were in valleys causing air pockets that would not leave. Also I had to re-align it a couple times because after massaging the vinyl due to bends it slightly warped the wrap causing it to want to kink to make it straight again or start over.

If you had did it before you may be able to understand what I wrote lol....if not I imagine you will be like :confused:

Just played my best round of golf ever. 52 after 9 holes. Made my first ever birdie on a par 4 and played 9 holes straight without losing a single ball.

I will say this, MSP has always treated me very well, even when I get a ticket. :icon17: It has always been my fault for being pulled over in the first place.

How close are you to getting it on the road?

I think my Pioneer headunit is giving up the ghost soon. Halfway to work and it went to a black screen with white lines along the left side moving from the bottom of the screen to the top then it shuts off completely. Turn off the car and back on and it is fine again for a little bit and does the same thing. Will have to rip it out and see if there is issue with wiring or something stupid.

My cousin's Pioneer did the same thing, but only when he was listening to Justin Bieber.

Come to CNY and let us thoroughly change your mind. If you're not getting pulled over for "loud" exhaust, you're getting nailed for failing to stop at a stop sign for 5+ seconds. If they're bored, they just use lidar and trap your speed 15mph faster than whatever you're doing.
