Doing rigging and lighting for concerts for only 8 years def took a toll on my body. My knees ache like crazy when i squat, my back hurts, and I definitely have suffered from hearing loss. Only 28. So be happy with what some of you guys still have. I learned my lesson the irreparable way.

Nah. I've moved on from baby games:rofl2:

I will say, a dedicated laptop and a eGPU solution is looking more viable than ever. Portability and power.

No joke. Grip work is brutal.

Yea. Never again. I don't miss the physical work, the throwing stage weights around, running socapex cabling, the 36 hr days, or going to bed beaten. I just miss being able to eat 4k calories in 1 sitting and still have an 8 pack :rofl2:

11 Jul 1994: Officially 20 years of active service to Uncle Sam's Misguided Children ends.

So 23 years ago, I hit 20 years of active service. My 'retirement date' was 31 July 1994, that's when I transferred to the Fleet Marine Corps Reserve. :shakes head:

I still wish I was on active duty..... 90% of the civilians out there are just ignorant.

I swear by them.

I go to one every 2 weeks just to make sure things are still lined up. Mine likes the fact that adjustments on me are quick and easy because of the martial arts training.

I partially dislocated my left shoulder during a black belt test. I went to the ortho doctor, because there was considerable pain in that area. He said, 'Well, we'll just have to go in there and clean out scar tissue.' Wait.... WHAT!!!! Create more scar tissue to clean out old scar tissue?!?!? No!!! I found a 'point release' chiropractor that untied all the knots in all three muscles that make up the rotator cuff. It took about 6 months of weekly 'torture' sessions to fix. :ugh2:

Okay, I'm done :postwhore:

JARblue 07-11-2017 09:34 AM

There aren't enough reps in the day

I'm still giving them away for free though :tiphat:

Anyone want to buy my EVO-R mirrors?

I've decided to buy a new fly fishing outfit, and I can't get the wife to sign off on it (it doesn't help that her birthday is in a few days lol). Hoping I can sell the mirrors, an RJM Rev 2 clutch pedal, and my old Fast Intentions exhaust for enough to cover it :)

ChaseZ 07-11-2017 09:59 AM

That's a lot of stuff. Apparently fly fishing ain't cheap!

Doesn't your AARP membership get you a discount on fly fishing stuff?

I have several outfits of the cheaper variety. But after casting my buddy's Orvis H2 rod, I think I'm long due for an upgrade. They have a 25 year no-questions-asked warranty, so you're essentially paying for multiple rods. He just ran over his 23 year old Clearwater rod with his truck on purpose so he could upgrade it - an Orvis guide told him to do it lol. Orvis gave him a $375 credit towards a nicer rod. The H2 rod runs $850 by itself.

Probably. I wouldn't know. I've got another 20 years to go before I'm eligible.

remember the brace that holds the oem cats? the bolts were just threaded loose in the mounting holes under there and were vibrating and causing the rattle. You can see them in the pic.

So apparently it's my job to recover unsaved excel changes from the ******* QA lady. I'll get right on that! Right after I fix adding a keyboard to a desk with no computer.

Wait until 5 minutes before quitting time. Tell them to yank out the power cord, wait 5 minutes and plug it back in. By the time any thing boots up, you are on the way home.
