Parking ticket never showing up on their system?
 

Hello everyone!
I got a parking ticket(NJ) 10 days ago and I check everyday to see if my ticket shows up online so I can pay it but it still hasn't shown up online yet. It is hand written ticket with very sloppy writing so I'm assuming maybe when they proceed my ticket they made a mistake?? How long more do I need to check more? I know many of you might say just call the court and pay it but if I get lucky and if it never made on their system, why not have that luck? XD but anyway, anyone here had a similar problem? Sharing your stories would be great! Thank you!

I'm part of a volunteer program here in Travis County and deputized to issue citations for three different parking violations related to accessible parking. There's no online presence like you are working with, but I can tell you the court often takes two weeks or more to process tickets. YMMV

Or maybe office personnel can't read it either and are in the process of tracking down the person that wrote the ticket.

Is saving a few bucks now worth what may happen if they figure it out? Personally, I'd call City Hall (or whoever is responsible) and try to straighten it out. The cop isn't going to be interested in your story when you get pulled over and have an unpaid ticket and the judge isn't going to be happy that you decided to blow it off. YMMV

If it's not in the system and you call it still more than likely won't be the system.

Perhaps there was something questionable or illegible then it was just dismissed. Or maybe the cop left the paper in his pocket and went home for the weekend and ran it through the washing machine lol
