I'm kinda young and have owned two cars so far, i paid for both of them myself by working hard.
If my father had just paid for them both, sure i would have been real happy but i wouldn't understand the true value of working hard for your first big purchase, the very thing that gives you independence and freedom... when dad buys that for you it aint the same as when you buy it yourself
Plus its green...he wanted black!

I've given all 6 of my kids a car (not new), and only one really didn't appreciate it. He did later in life, just not to much at the time. Now I get to work the guilt thing on that one!
