Japan's Deflation Problem...

Really? I'd hate to have the US Dollar able to buy so much around the world. I do see the problem, because those of us with weak currency, we can't afford the products from strong nations. Check this out...

Unreal.

Japan: "Hey, our Yen is worth too much! What can we do? Let's do what the Americans are doing to de-value us!"

I miss the times when 1 USD = 128ish yen...

Devaluing the Yen will make Japanese products more affordable for export, therefore stronger economies will venture to Japan for their products. It's a pretty common practice by primarily exporting nations. Look at China, their money is pegged to the US dollar for the sole fact that if the US dollar drops so will China's, allowing them to always underprice countries like the US making their exports the most affordable.
