Love my Z, but....

Like I said, I love my Z not a single complaint so far but there does not seem to be a lot of "stuff" out there for the enthusiast. Maybe I'm sort of spoiled coming from the Camaro world where you can buy virtually anything with Camaro love on it. Where are all the clothes, jackets, chairs, jewlery, accessories, die cast cars, RC's, etc? There don't even seem to be all that many modifications out there you can get for the cars. Where are the clubs & enthusiasts? I am glad I found this site though. Maybe you guys & gals (actually where are all the female owners?) can tell me if I am just not looking in the right places.

Welcome. It's a very exclusive family

Ventruck 11-08-2016 11:05 PM

The charm is just that. You get that car and maybe a FOB/Keychain and that's it.

The subtleness of the Z cult is unmatched. Too rare for public eyes.

Z owners tend to buy things like sway bars, coil-overs, FI kits, bushings, shifters, etc. instead of clothes, jackets, chairs, jewelry, accessories, die cast cars and RCs.:ugh2:

Zdayz , Zcon,z nationals.... you shall see. The z fam is real.

We don't need material goods to show off our pride. It's the friends we meet. And believe me I have met a lot of amazing people because of my z.

Memories > possessions

When you consider that annual sales for the Z look like a mediocre month in sales for Camaros and Mustangs, it's kinda surprising we have the aftermarket we do. There's some good stuff available, but not as many options.

That said, I'd still like to find a sharp-looking Z jacket...either leather or light weight wind breaker.

If you want that you need to get a Vette or join the Harley Davidson crowd. For me, it was what bothered me the most when I had my Vette. Some people would come to car shows dressed with Corvette clothes from head to toe. Kinda tacky!

I now love the more subtle and much more exciting world of Z's and Japanese cars in general.

I want those things too but even in performance mods there are just not as many things out there compared even to my V6 Camaro.

That is encouraging. Hope to learn about such things quickly with help from friends here.

Black Widow 11-09-2016 05:58 PM

Thanks. I had looked at thezstore, meh, not a lot of options there. Glad to see more performance options on the other links than I had found elsewhere. I will start learning & doing my research. :tiphat:

As mentioned above, the Z scene is not as overwhelming as with other cars, so it sort of feels rare and exclusive... Not to mention that this is the best car forum i have ever been a part of, really a great group of guys and gals here

Forgot to mention, type: 370z under ebay parts and accesories, you will get thousands of results. For clothes and And accesories: http://www.ebay.com/sch/Clothing-Sho...=R40&_nkw=370z

Theres a few things on amazon, too

Thanks. It is cool to be part of a more exclusive crowd. Just hope I can find a few locals to cruise & hang out with too. Still wish there were more clothing options.

Try contacting your local Nissan dealer. Mine has a catalogue they let me look through - it's mostly Nissan or Nismo gear, but there are certainly some Z34-specific products. I've had zero luck finding a copy of the catalogue online (theirs is pretty beat up), but they had no problem ordering products out of it for me last year.

Some of the products I've seen in the catalogue can be found on Nissan's website: http://www.nissancollections.com/_Sh...yMEdHgPSrBrItl

BobbyLight 11-10-2016 02:42 PM

For apparel, come to Zdayz next year and maybe the nismo tent will be selling stuff again! I got all kinds of goodies this year. Stuff I can't even find online. Also Zdayz is right by the tail of the dragon so you are close.

Always has to be one "d**k" in the crowd. You do have one...right???

Black Widow 11-10-2016 07:46 PM

For the record I am female, I know I am a female playing in a male dominated arena. I have no problem with that. I have been competing with men all my life. I simply love my Z. Therefor I'd like to have a nice Jacket, some good looking shirts and some collectables. I am here to learn. Just like I had to learn when I got my Camaro & started modifying it, joining clubs & doing a little racing, cruising & making friends. I was simply disappointed that there was so little out there & hoped I could count on comrades here to point me in the direction of other places that were not showing up on your typical internet searches.

I'm glad some of you have been helpful. I'm a newby here & learning. I will need lots of help from you guys as I do but trust me, I will learn.

I'd love to attend an event like this. Where does one find info on the event?

 good for you girl! You will see there is a lot of cool, helpful people here. As mentioned by others, there are quite a few Z events during the year where you can meet new people, find Z gear, etc

madeinjapan- u faking crack me up :rofl2:

as far as da z goes, i would just leave the car da way it is for the most part. the only thing it really needs is an exhaust and a stiffer front swaybar, maybe some spacers for your sport wheels unless you get the nismo wheels.

and call it a day.

Oh I am really in no hurry to do a bunch of mods. She only has about 600ish miles on her at this point. I got the vunerable parts done in clear bra & ceramic tint on all windows and I'm good for a while. Just want to learn what is out there that is truly good quality with notable performance improvements then we shall see.

kenchan 11-11-2016 06:41 PM

Good call on the clear bra! It is a must have fosho:tup:
