A little smoke and those puppies will be fall off the bone delicious!

Is it possible to skimp out on an oil change if I were to lease a car for 3 years? Or is it mandatory on contract? It sickens me that my mom drops over a grand every few months to maintain her SL550.

I'm actually pretty impressed if this car ran for 60k miles without an oil change.
|
wonder if that will come up on a carfax... it was probly a women who thought all that smoke was just someone smoking neer her car... a girl i know told me that "oil changes are RECOMENDED not mandatory" lol she also totaled a brand new car on a test drive so...

Although I'm semi-OCD on my Z's oil changes, I have personally met people who allow 2, 3, even 4 years between oil changes!; especially single moms/divorced women--regardless of how much mileage they put on their rides annually. The astonishing part is that NONE of 'em have had their cars "break down" (i.e. any major OR minor engine trouble or repairs!) I, personally, wouldn't risk my Z's engine getting that sludge build up, but I'm convinced that some vehicles can actually take that kinda treatment and go for miles and/or years w./o. problems. I just ain't taking that chance on my sweet beaZt!
