Mainly track people or hitting potholes 3 feet deep, but it still happens. Just launching can snap spokes. i'd just be careful is all. They're knockoffs and cheap for a reason.

Yeah I'd looked into the 2015 Nismo wheels and set is about $1800. The Work T7R I don't mind as well is just a hair more. I just kinda like he idea of half that price is all. If money were no object I'd be ordering a set of Advan GTs. Obviously there are compromises, but if safety is the compromise then that's clearly not a very good one. |

I do wonder if insurance would cover something like that though... Say a wheel snaps and you damage the suspension. Needs new fender, caliper, strut, etc. Or if insurance would go after the company that sold the wheels. hmmmmm

Volk, BBS, RAYS, ADVAN, or SAMS are my go to wheels for previous cars. Any wheel has a chance to snap. But the risk is minimized if bought from a reputable known maker.
Like JAR said. The stock RAYS are some of the best still for the Z.

However, what if a spoke snaps at any kind of speed. Then the least of my concerns are whether insurance will cover a fender and coilover! Cheating out is one thing, but if it becomes dangerous at the expense of your wallet then that's quite another. I have had knockoff wheels before R8 reps on my Audi, and never had a problem, but that quick google search yeilded a lot of very specific results which doesn't really sit all that well with me. |

When google gives you direct answers, you know it's a severe issue

But this clearly doesn't seem to be the best idea. Maybe not as bad as it's made out to be but still enough to give me pause. At the end of the day it is the difference between having new wheels this summer or waiting and adding that onto the winter project list. And some things are worth waiting for without question. Then again no matter what I have a bit of a hard time choking down $1100 per rim for Advan GTs... especiLly when I have to pay duty, shipping and a 30% exchange rate on top of that! |

Test drove the Xterra. I was impressed. Seats weren't really comfy, but it was quiet, had tons of torque after about a 2 second hesitation, and visibility was decent. Didn't get a chance to drive the Juke. I may need to do some research on any issues with 06 Xterra's.
