You and another quarter million people :p

I went in 1973 and had a blast, even though the race was cancelled because of the rain. Couldn't make it for the race the following day as we all had to go back to school or work. This was the year that Salt Walther was in a terrible accident at the beginning of the race. Still remember it to this day...

1973 crash changed driver's life - 13 WTHR Indianapolis

Still on my "bucket list" to see the finish of the race. Have a great time and be safe.

Round tracks bore me. Though I would have paid good money to watch the 1985 race just to see Danny Sullivan's magical moment.

Lol, I thoght the same thing but I can tell last years Indy car race at Auto Club raceway was phenomenal. They averaging near 230, it was pretty incredible. A couple of spectacular crashes at 228 mph. It's the only circle race I didn't want to go to the restroom or just go walk around till the end.

For the 3rd year in a row, the milk bottle was delivered to Indianapolis in a 370Z. We were actually going to do a big social media campaign about it with my client, but she ended up going into labor that morning so we didn't get a chance to do it. Y'know, photos of it buckled in the passenger seat & stuff.

Would have been cool because I was going to make sure you could tell it was a Z.

Average speed = 166.634 mph

First sell out for the Indy 500 race was this year of 2016

Fuel played the critical role

The race was great to watch. Loved every minute of it. I was at the track the weekend before for the time trials. Lots of 230+ MPH cars going by. I have a INDY Pace car and the reunion was this year in front of the Heritage museum. Great weather and a wonderful time for me and the kids.
It was the third time I got to drive the car on the track. One of those bucket list , adrenaline rush moments. I will post pictures if it won't bore the **** out of everyone.

LOL! I was just joking about it being a Fiero. Actually took a picture of the Fieros and sent it to my buddy in SC that had one. Here's a pic from right across where you were.

My favorite was the Hurst shifter car. Couple years ago sat at a luncheon with Linda Vaughn. She was passing her phone around showing us pictures & said 'whatever you do, don't swipe!'.
