Rolling out of bed in 45 minutes. Time to start detailing the Cars all day
|
Thought I would get a bit done for the hatch. Routed the hole in a piece of plexi and tossed some LEDs on for fun lol Still need to sand down the edges for a more uniform finish. I am hoping it will cast a small amount of light into the little pockets. Nothing crazy or flashy, just a little diffused light.

Routed a radius on the cutout edges. Should look decent when carpeted or vinyled.

motored my Z had a good time. qd'ed afterwards, going to qd the wheels a little later.
dawn washed the fit in the sun so i had to wash in sections to prevent spots.. one step sealant on the areas with a lot of rail dust contamination (like pretty much all panels except the hood and roof :ugh: ), and hydromax'ed the entire car. wow, looking great... well for a fit. :rofl2: |
im going to get me the bigger refill next time on dat hydromax. thing is AWESOME.
lay dat down, wash with dat griot's brilliant wash and its like teflon coating. |
Pulling out the Z in 10! Beautiful 68 out and time to go to a farmers market and enjoy some back roads.
|
have a good time, MB!

Holy crap! Madwi is a godsend. Im detailing the Z currently. Washed. Skipped polishingsince I did it last year heavily already. Anyways, I used that four star paint sealant. Let it bond for over an hr and removed. The car shines like never before!!!! I'm so excited to add collinite to it next! I'm absolutely floored by how gorgeous the car looks already. Beyond showroom shine!!!

Second piece of plexi routed flush with the wood cutout. Also used dowels to hold the plexi in place while on the router table. Worked so well I left em lol
